Should I buy this while I still can?

Since the announcement that Lords of the Fallen 3 would be a "permanent" Epic exclusive, I'm worried that Lords of the Fallen 2 (this game) may be removed from Steam as part of Epic's war on consumer rights. Should I buy it while I still can? $40 isn't quite steep enough a discount for me, but I'm afraid that if I keep waiting I won't be able to buy it at all.

And for anyone who wants to say Epic "isn't that bad"; this is the Steam forums, you're welcome to use the Epic forums if you don't like Steam.

You should; the game will be delisted from Steam soon due to Epic's goal of having it as their Souls-like flagship franchise.

This game will not be delisted from Steam, only the next one in 2026 will be permanently epic exclusive.
If you in no rush, you don't have to buy it yet.

I ended up deciding that, at $40 CAD, there were plenty of games I wanted more for half the price. Maybe on the Winter Sale.

This game is honestly pretty good and it is on sale right now.

If the next game wants to make less money due to bad business decisions, well that's a problem for that game not this one.

this isnt close to ds3 its practically identical to ds2 but worse

Combat is a lot more fluid than DS2.
