Can't decide on my initial Str. Weapons.

I have 5 left of the regular Deralium Nuggets. So far I am going Str build and I have the Thorned Crimson Sword and Faithful Bludgeon. I love how hard the Bludgeon hits,but the Crimson sword seems to have some nice bleed damage and it's a bit faster. I am still relatively early the game and can only upgrade one weapon fully (at this point in the game) and I was wondering what are peoples thoughts on these weapons. Unless is there more Reg Deralium Nuggets I can farm or is it like other souls game where you can't farm lower level mats till later in the game?

Thorned Crimson Sword has strange rune slots, rad\str\rad.
There are only 2 rad rune that can actually benefit to this weapon, one of which is locked behind quest choice and another one is useless for str build (it gives mana on kill). So if you plan on using long sword in end game - I would suggest using Crimson Rector Sword, it has str\rad\str, two str runes will make a fine addition to your damage.

Also, all Deralium fragments (except for the last tier) will be purchasable from the smith in unlimited quantity. So you will be able to upgrade everything to +9 if you farm.

Runes? Does that come later in the game? The ability to purchase all the fragments will that come later in the game? I don't see that option now.

I wasn't looking for a weapon fro the end game now. Just the best one for now. I am leaning towards the Faithful Bludgeon. I poured a bunch of points into Strength and when upgraded to B this thing is like twice the attack power of the Swords.

The 60 bleed is actually pretty weak. The straight physical damage from the regular Crimson Rector Sword is generally higher DPS overall. I'd choose that, personally (and did. I'm still using it headed toward Upper Calrath). If you want a bleed build, better to dual wield the two short swords and put more points into Agility.

I'd say: just chill and do what you like. you can respec and buy upgrade materials, so you're not locked into these choices.

I just got the Angel Axe. Online Angel Axe is listed a lot as the best STR weapon but seems a lot less powerful than my faithful bludgeon. How is the Angel Axe?

certain attacks from this weapon can stunlock Holy Bulwark and other strong enemies.
