is internet required for solo
I want to buy this game but hate going thru the refund process? im an over the road trucker, my access to internet is hit or miss at best, some days good internet, some bad, others none at all.

I play plenty of co-op games were you only need a connection if your playing co-op, i rather play solo, so genuine question nothing more, is internet required to play this game, i mean like diablo IV were there is no offline mode, or is it a start it the first time online, then every other time afterwards you dont need to be online.

shame i was excited it had controller support, only to read the reviews slamming it for internet issues?

One of the devs, or someone that works with them, stated on the 20th that internet is NOT required. But now I see that people are getting disconnected even though they are playing solo and were told they wouldn't need internet. So I'd wait and see how this is addressed.

Also, thank you for what you do. My dad was a truck driver for 35 years before retiring. I know it's a pretty big sacrifice.
A hotfix was implemented now the game works offline

How do you get it to do offline while still being connected to Steam? Also is this a demo because it just told me something a demo would? I tried to go in a house and it gave me a message saying you can't do that in this version.:lunar2019laughingpig:

Wrong. I just played the game and it connected me to servers, showed my connection status in the top left corner of the screen, and "disconnected" when I quit the game. Why spread false info? Why are the devs not responding to any questions about the game needing to be online? I saw ONE dev reply ONE time on the 20th about it. They said that you do NOT need to be online. I haven't seen them even scoff any any inquiries about it today. Only multiplayer progression. I can only assume they BS'd us.
Yeah I'm in the same boat too with the Internet situation. I don't always have clear internet access where I work and I would like to play this game on my Rog ally at work. Hope the developer can give us a clear that it works without internet.
in the main menu in game setting you can turn off seamless multiplayer it worked for me.
as i can now play the game while steam is in offline mode.

Correct. The developer also gave that answer to someone in a review with lots of negative thumbs, but it seemed those lots wasent ready to wait a second to hear the quickfix and just left with a lot of negative vibes.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay answering, I sometimes need to let the eyes close for a recharge. There was an issue with the offline mode not working that was fixed in last night's hotfix so full offline mode is now working again.

Thanks to those who posted about the hotfix also.
It is impossible to play this game. Every time I try to play, the message "disconnecting..." appears and the game closes on its own. It doesn't even give me the option to see the main menu.

Q: Is there also single player mode?
A: Yes, the game can be played in single player mode (no internet connection required).

Why your profile says you don't have the game?

And how am I supposed to play single-player if it doesn't even give me the option to see the menu?
