I'm going into the game expecting an alright game. I'll be happy with something that's fun to casually pick up.
Also it does suck but that's the world we live in the so called influencers say something then a hoard of easily influenced people go out into the world to spread it, most of which are incapable of making their own opinion on things.
Maybe I'll buy&try it later, but the performance/stuttering issues that are mentioned really concern me, I don't purchase high-end hardware to have a bad technical experience.
thats what i mostly do as well.
See, this is the correct take.
I do however encourage people to not pre-order, ever.
And I dont do that because I hate a specific game.
I do it because companies tend to lean into hyping people up and delivering sub-par experiences who they then try to "patch/fix later", when really, you SHOULD be expecting it to at least run competently.
That's YOU paying money for something that doesnt work the first week on release, until they manage to fix the issue (sometimes they never do).
Sometimes it comes from a place of crap experience, sometimes it comes from a person just being a miserable piece of sh*t who wants to rain on your parade.
You kinda have to know how to separate the two, or you'll go negative.
Also, do not watch "reviews" on YT before the game actually launches..
That's ALWAYS clickbait, and negative PR is still "good PR".
Y'all are reacting the exact same way the folks over Babylon's Fall forums were.
Making stuff up and strawmen for yourselves to tear down, like this thread right here.
There is only one way i see it, their lost our gain.. all there is to it.
