What to do when dead?

Since Im new, I spend a lot of time dead. And most of the time I just follow people and look around.

Seems kinda...bad?

You can revive at one of the pods you start the level near if you have a revive token, which you can purchase from the blue perk vendors around the maps.

Tried this but eventually money just runs out. The others made it to wave 30, while I was dead most rounds

for some reason I can't reply, but your teammates can also revive you at the revive pods.
