cross play between PC/Console in the future?

Hello, I'm looking to get this game, but want to make sure I get it for the right system so I can play with all my friends. Will there be cross play between console and PC upon console release? If not, will possibly wait to buy the console version, since I dont have the option to buy the game multiple times.

Just to update, crossplay on launch will be available between Xbox/PC. Playstation makes it a little tricky for an indie game like us but we hope that can change in the future.

There is an issue where private invites are not working between Xbox and PC. A temporary workaround is to matchmake at the exact same time and you will get into a lobby together. Once you're in the lobby, you can then invite that player to your party. Sorry for the inconvenience, the team are working on a permanent solution.

Is there cross progression between PC and PlayStation 5? I have the game on PC but my buddy has it on PS5. I know there isn't crossplay between PC & PS5 but does that also mean no cross progression?
I love the game btw, as a Zombie Vet it has been amaizng and a lot of fun!
