What is Nivalis?
Nivalis is a unique cyberpunk slice-of-life sim, in development at ION LANDS, the team that brought you Cloudpunk.

In Nivalis, your life is yours to live. Grow your own business, meet friends, hop on your boat to go fishing, or just spend the time in your apartment and watch the world go by.

We can't wait for you to experience the wonder and scale of this city in the clouds.

What platforms will Nivalis be on?
Nivalis will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Is Nivalis just first person?
Nivalis will be played in a first person perspective. This is intentional, as we want the player to experience the immense scale of the city and to truly feel immersed.

Will there be any connection between Cloudpunk and Nivalis?
Yes, your eyes don't deceive you - Nivalis is the city in which Cloudpunk (ION LANDS' previous game) is set.

Both games will offer a unique experience of the city and its life, and we'll be sharing more information about this soon.

Will Nivalis be open world like Cloudpunk?
In Nivalis you will be exploring different areas of the city and, as you've seen in the recent trailers, you can also explore the ocean on your boat.

Nivalis won't be fully "open world". You will be able to explore certain areas/districts freely while other parts of the world are background environments.

Why did you choose to have non-voxelated characters?
Fun fact, we began development with characters showing a Voxel Art style. However, while testing animations and ways to make the characters more expressive, we ran into a few limitations.

So, the decision was made to use traditional character meshes with detailed faces and smooth features that allow for more believable animations. Characters' proportions and textures will be stylized to fit the game's aesthetic.

Will Camus make a return in Nivalis?
Currently there are no plans to bring Camus back to visit Nivalis. Instead, you'll be meeting new people along the way, and who knows what you'll be getting in to.

How in-depth will the apartment customisation be?
We get it. Aesthetics are important.

You can furnish your apartments however you'd like, with paintings, lights, furniture and more.

Some apartments will also include balconies and terraces with breath-taking views of the city and its inhabitants.

Can I run a taxi company in Nivalis?
No, this won't be possible as you'll be too busy managing your restaurants and nightclubs. The taxi companies will be running themselves.

How does fishing impact your day-to-day life in Nivalis?
Fishing will play an important role in managing your restaurants and their ingredients.

Keeping your fridges and freezers stocked is an important part of them becoming a success in Nivalis.

How does the romance feature work?
We really don't want to spoil too much here. But...

You'll be meeting various citizens along the way. Your choices will affect the type of relationship you will have with them - be it romantic or otherwise. It's totally up-to-you.

Will Nivalis have a photo mode?
You wanted it, you got it!

Nivalis WILL feature a photo mode, so virtual photographers get ready. We'll share more news about this when we can.

Will Nivalis be on console?
PC is our main focus at the moment, but we are looking into other platforms.

So, what do players get on day one if I purchase Nivalis?
On Day 1 players will experience Nivalis in all its glory. We cannot wait to welcome you to this beautiful cyberpunk metropolis.

Tell me, how much HDD space is required to install and run Nivalis?
We're currently estimating between 20GB and 30GB, but this isn't final.

We will share more with you when we get closer to launch.

Will it work on SteamDeck?
We are exploring several handheld devices and platforms.

As we've mentioned previously, we will share more news about this when we can.

Does Nivalis require an internet connection to play?
You will not require an internet connection when playing Nivalis other than what the platforms require to update the game. Furthermore, cloud saves are supported, which require an internet connection.

Is Nivalis compatible with Mac or Linux?
This isn't something we're exploring at the moment, but we will let you know via our social channels if this changes.

Will Nivalis support HDR (High Dynamic Range)?
We will share more information about this closer to launch.

Will Nivalis support Ray Tracing?
