Renown
How is the game? (Since it release in EA)
Title, had my eye on it for a long time now but haven't made it into a test etc so wondering if its worth picking up at this point.
Have seen a lot on the forum good and bad.

Runs like ♥♥♥♥, constantly plagued by bugs, playerbase is a toxic cesspool of chivarly/mordhau sweats who wanna win, wanna have fun? Can't
The game started out on release with 2.5k players and in a weeks time has dropped to sub 1k players and seems to be trending downward consistently. The official server I played on originally had 80-100 people and now I'm seeing like 10-20 people on (during peak hours), the whole region I play on has like 30 people total. I fear the game will lose most or all of its player base by the end of October. Can't really recommend it unless that trend changes and it gets a huge influx of players and they actually stick around.

You played 2.3 hours. Do you expect to be better than someone like me who have 200 hours in this game? Plus another 1,600 hours in Mordhau. Simply playing the game without tryharding would make me better than you, but you cry and complain simply because I understand these games better than you.

But what should I expect from someone who gave Elden Ring a negative review? https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198024915332/recommended/1245620/

But let us take your argument and flip the script. You put 1,500 hours into TF2 ( https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198024915332/recommended/440/ ), while I have 800 hours in it. I can assure you that you are better in that game than I am and you don't have to try to really be better than me, as you have spent more time in it than me. Yet, imagine if I kept calling you a sweat because you were simply playing the game and were better than me? Is that a fair judgement? I doubt it. Or what about an even worse scenario? A fresh install, 1 hour played, and you're over here as a trolldier to ruin their day? Or is it not really ruining their day cause you're just playing the game? It's funny how once you flip the script on someone, you can show them how stupid they sound. Rules for thee but not for me ah mindset.
The problem isn't the amount of players, the game itself at this point has a major combat flaw that simply doesn't work well.
AI mobs that jank around often moving backwards towards you swinging weapons away from you and still hitting. you can not tell when your weapon hits them either except an instance later when the health meter shows up that you did some damage.
The rest of the game, building, crafting etc. all well done. Serious need to focus on combat and this game will do well.
It's very much an EA title and needs much improvement.

However, this game definitely has potential. The player base has been steadily declining but that's pretty common among many EA games, I would say.

I just bought the game but I'm happy that I did. I've enjoyed the small amount that I've played. As long as the devs really work at fixing the bugs and improving the game, it could definitely going on to being a really good title.
