I made this topic about it myself earlier.

This is coming from someone who used to play C&C back in the day, i'm talking about RA2 and Tiberian Sun like crazy.
Yeah but the AI in those was retarded, really bad, Unless you gave him insane resources, it was so easy to defeat.
Anyway, I noticed in another topic they where saying the AI does not cheat, its probably just us being bad at it for now, we need to train a bit.
Bro i used to own the AI in RA2 on normal and hard difficulties.
This is harder than that... how is that retarded ?
No, the AI in those games was retarded. Perhaps I was not clear enough. The AI in those older games was bad, really bad.
Two things :
1) those games were old like really damn old, we're talking 1999 my dude so depends on your definition of "really bad" - like i don't think programming AI was too easy back then compared to now
2) what exactly are you reffering to when you say "really bad" because i never had any problems in those games and i played the hell out of them back then
I played them myself, I also played Emperor Battle for Dune. Lots of CC type games. The "really bad" is by comparison to today standards so saying "i was good at those" really means little considering how bad the AI was.
The things I noticed the AI do in this, like pulling back tanks, attacking from multiple angles, coming where you don't find units and so on, completely blows out of the water what the AI used to do. The AI was easy to beat in those older games, even on the hardest difficulty since it did very little to nothing when it comes to tactics aside for attack move.
PS. I am not saying it was bad for its time, I am saying its bad for our time.
I get there and there are a shed load of army. OK i thought, quick to rebuild, then I get "your base is under attack" and I have 4 buggies, 2 tanks and a load of infantry at my base. How?
This is 8 minutes into a game. How have they got the resources to lose an engagement, re-pop AND flank attack?? I had 3 harvesters and 2 refinaries at the time. Trying to balance between army and resource production. If I had just focused on resource they would have killed me in the 1st engagement.
Def cheating.
