Flying Fortress strat in GDF Campaign

9 Drone Maulers + 1 Engineer inside a Skycrane melts everything in its path. Its a freakin C-130 basically. Works with the other GDF Drone guys too but its insanely effective with the Maulers.

Drone carriers are better if only because they cost alot less. Yes they don't repair on their own but in campaign the carrier costs 2500, the transport with 1 engineer costs the exact same amount. There's also the fact they are very supply heavy too, which makes it difficult to amass many of them. I tend to make 1 with 2 engineers just so they can move around and use the engineers to capture buildings, but the cost/benefit of the carrier is just so much better.

If you have laser marking, it could be worth having 1 regular laser drone with your maulers so they can network as well.

I prefer a mix of Quellers and Drone Carriers. Carriers project coms aura while Quellers provide better damage overall. Additionaly in the campaign my combat drones are equiped with lasers that also aply marked.
Also as it was said already all Skycrane abuse strats are very cost and population ineffective.

I do wish they'd made it so that other infantry could fire from vehicles, like China in generals. Would be a lot more interesting than just drone spam.

Haven't tried this tactic yet. Will assign a DCU for comm to follow. I think this works for fast attack at secluded base. Also with support beacon this will obliterate everything.
