ive played RTS games since i could walk - so nearly more than two decades, but i'm finding this AI near impossible to stop - normal AI is rock solid! id love to be able to pick options like normal turtle, normal steamroller, etc etc ? is this on the horizon because the moment i try and expand the base with mcv ill unpack it and either get base rushed or sidebase rushed within moments of setting up. also turrets are so feeble and need a buff imo

The AI deliberately waits until you leave your base to attack. If you scout, you can see the army build up and sit there. When you move out it pounces.

It has a threat analysis feature where if it thinks it will lose the fight it wont attack or will only probe attack then retreat.

Otherwise it waits for an opportunity like you leaving your base to try and attack or expand.

Realistic sure but not really the most fun I agree.

The battles felt very 1 or 0 Especially the retreat thing
