Why play GDF over Dynasty when online rank releases
Dynasty has the ability to rush and build units at an insane rate with the power plants next to the production buildings with cheaper cost to buildings and units. GDF feels way too weak for being this high tech faction. GDF can build guard towers to bunker for defense, but gets easily taken out by flamethrower units from an early rush attack.

Devs clearly had a favorite when designing these 2 factions.

I assume or at least hope that they'll do a big balance pass before ranked is released. The infantry rush cheese for dynasty doesn't seem to have any viable counters
Yup, I don't know every unit HP and damage. But for cost ratio, dynasty gets way more bang for their buck than GDF.
On the other hand with GDF If you rush early with drone operators it feels like cheating

Just build 2-3 refineries and 3 barracks and rush with drones operators usually crushes everything they can build in the first 10-12 mins...

I am a no MP guy but even in singleplayer i feel like GDF is somewhat struggling. So i also think some balancing needs to be done.

The problem is dynasty can rush units on another level. Some people are using call the guard at minute 4 to instantly summon 20 units then pumping out more units with 3 barracks. By minute 6-7 they're already at 60 pop and the game is over.
Generally speaking every new rts needs to strongly nerf rush strats asap.

Rush strats prevent any other meta from forming, and make it impossible to gather thorough data for balancing the entire game/roster since only the earliest unit tier is used.

And rushing makes the game repulsive for players who dont want to face rushes every game 24/7.
That can be a death sentence for a new rts when its hoping to get more players.

You just build Riot Van + 5 Drone Operator/Mauler + 1 Engi, repit. Universal, fat. And when you retreat vans, drones stays and inflict dmg.

Use Peacekeeper. 2 of them. AoE stun on infantry in 3 sec. And AoE Omni dmg. You can build 2 on 3 min. +its good recon.
