Can't host a game in multiplayer

Everyone has 9999 ping and it just "tries to join local dedicated server" forever. Buddy has the same issue. Does it even work already? How did a bunch of people create public lobbies like that?

We're currently playing the second game in a row... weird.
We started Tempest.exe as administrator.
I hope there's a fix for this problem soon.

it might have been a pure coincidence that you managed to open a lobby and that you logged in as administrator at the same time.
i been trying to open lobbies without changing any settings and sometimes it just works and most times it doesnt.

Yeah the servers seem to be working at moments and not working at other moments. I was able to play several games (like 6 in a row) with no issues yesterday, but earlier today I was completely unable to host despite many tries, and the same friend I played with yesterday had the same issues. It appears to simply hang when "attempting to contact local server." HOWEVER, I will note that as of a few minutes ago I was able to host a game again. So it does at least appear it may be related to the servers simply being overwhelmed.

As other people have pointed out, when you get that "attempting to contact local server" message, if it fails to connect, it does hang the game. Adding a simple "try again" or "cancel" button might be helpful there until the server capacity is increased or whatever problem it turns out to be is addressed.

Yeah, it’s possible that it was just a coincidence and it happened to work at that moment.

Anyone figured out how to zoom out more? This zoom cap is trash. Yes I know you can use the scroll wheel, but that's not enough. You can't even see your entire base on one screen.

no. it should be capped for everyone on the same level anyway, otherwise one would have an unfair advantage

Thanks for you input, schmiddy. but no. no vna at all, mp is working in only one of several dozens of time. they already said they were fixing it
