Can't host a game in multiplayer

Everyone has 9999 ping and it just "tries to join local dedicated server" forever. Buddy has the same issue. Does it even work already? How did a bunch of people create public lobbies like that?

I tried opening ports as well and it still won't go I'm not sure what to do. Managed to find my friend by quick playing at the same time but that's a stupid work around.

Please add a timeout or a Cancel button when trying to create a multiplayer game. Having to shut down the game forcefully to cancel the "Establishing Connection" dialogue when creating a multiplayer game is nuts
