No audio - except some sound effects.
I have no audio - except some sound effects. The intro videos plays audio, and some of the UI navigation makes a sound, but cut scenes and the main menu has no audio...

It's because you have a high sampling rate set (for example, 384 kHz). Change it to 44.1 kHz and it should work fine. I've had this problem with other games, so I know this workaround. I have an iFi DAC.

same here, neither english nor german, e.g. Col. Fisher is silent, UI is sometimes making noises, in-game nothing
Same issue when using my external audio (Topping USB DAC).
If I use my graphics cards HDMI output and play audio from my displays integrated speakers everything works fine.

edit: after some time the audio output on HDMI is also lost -.-

Same issue here. I also use a Topping USB DAC and it's the only available sound output device in windows
No audio at launch of game, intro movie skips in and out, with long periods of silence. Main menu low or no audio.

My primary audio out is also a DAC to headphones, if there is some kind of correlation.
so I had a similar issue because I Alt+Tabbed out of the game. Try doing that and then clicking on it in the task bar instead of tabbing back in
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

How can they release a game that only supports 44.1Hz? I know the game has nostalgic 1990 RTS vibes... But it isn't 1990.

I use 24-bit, 384000 Hz for all my games (as any modern game should have audio support for 44100 – 384000 Hz).

But thank you for posting this! I hope they fix it soon. I want to listen to Frank Klepaki in Hi-Fi sound. Seriously bummed that they didn't think of this before release...

I've just checked, and the sound also works in 32-bit 192kHz mode.
