In a single player game, there is no such thing as a cheat, and I wouldn't expect it to work in mutiplayer, if I ever even bothered with that.
like C&C, Age of Empires and Starcraft, so why not a pause option to give orders?

what old school games had slowing down, and speeding up? cause it ain't C&C or warcraft or starcraft.
Thats about it, games were never THAT difficult that one would need to actively use pause for gameplay purposes. Cant imagine a 2025 RTS where devs have convinced themselves that RTS was always super hard and complex and that they need to mellow everything to get the maximum audience possible would pose any type of issue to anyone playing the campaign. I wouldnt let such a minor thing prevent one from playing
That's completely fine. The game is becoming a smash hit. Can't cater to everyone.
