Tempest Rising

Did they remove the standard edition? (to trick you into buying it now)
like kinda insane never saw that happening

the shop lists the deluxe edition as the ONLY available edition wich costs 10$ more than the standard edition wich is DELISTED since the 7 days play early access deluxe edition perk is active.

this looks very fishy to me as it makes it look like that the deluxe edition is the ONLY edition that exists to the game wich CLEARLY wasnt the case a few days ago.

UPDATE:

there is a sticky now that clarifies the situation.

We are aware of a storefront technical issue on the Tempest Rising page, where only the Deluxe Edition is currently for sale. To clarify things a bit, this was NOT something we decided on, and we are indeed investigating to fix it ASAP.

Thanks for your patience!

Just wait a few days, I guess, that standard will be available soon, no reason to "panic"

I'm also surprised by this approach.

What do you mean "trick you into buying" ? They removed the normal Version because the 7-Day Early Access has started. If you wanna join give them 50 Bucks and go ahead. If you can READ it is clearly stated in the News and the Steam Page that there is a 7-Day Early Access runing right now.

Stop saying stuff that is not true. Sure, it is weird, that they did it differently than other Publishers, but they working with Steam on that "problem". Nobody is forcing to do anything.

that has nothing to do with what's being discussed

Don't see the standard edition button now. I hope it's a mistake and they put it back.
Nothing fishy here. You could preorder the deluxe, not the standard. Now the deluxe release date is out you can now buy the deluxe.

Makes sense not to have a preorder for the standard edition to avoid confusion. Store page is very clear on what’s happening if you read it.

They literally pulled the standard edition because it mistakenly allowed you to download the game today and play. As that was only intended for DDE owners.

I think it was human error and people probably started buying the standard edition with the expectation of playing it today. I was at work when the game released and it looked like (at first glance) that the game is "fully released".
I normally don´t do preorder/earlyaccess, but I´m a weak man having a nostalgia-fit. Also the guy who made the music (Frank Klepacki) also did the music for the old games. So i´m quite happy having bought the soundtrack with it :3

Yeah I know, this napster guy is a troll or just very odd spreading misinformation on the whole thing. I wouldn't pay much attention to the thread tbh.
I feel like they should put a sticky thread about it on this forum ^^
