campaign and delete the saves there for both factions.
Cheers.

You cannot do an update deleting savegames files, it would be quite a scandal if an update was deleting saavegame files just like that automatically!
Currently, changing difficulty requires starting a new save file.
Here's an example from my experience: When playing on Hard difficulty, the early missions feel too simple and unchallenging, but missions after the third faction appears become overwhelmingly difficult beyond my skill level.
It would be fantastic to play early missions with Insane difficulty while switching to Easy difficulty after the third faction emerges.
Additionally, please add a feature to replay any completed missions before finishing the campaign. This would significantly improve the gameplay experience.
You can change difficulty, just press "mission" before you take deploy, and choose the mission you want to play in what difficulty
