I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ wish it was '95 bro
Me too. At least we got this game demo to remind you how fabulous those days were.
Yes me too. I commonly find myself referring to the mid 90s as the "good ole days". An era gone to soon.
It is actually opposite.
There are many "new" real time tactics, wargames, tower defence, 4X & grand strategy games, but not "classic RTS" using DUNE formula.
The studios are afraid to make "classic RTS" games
These games are obsolete, in both technical and gameplay field.
Their "mission" with game is to take the classic RTS formula and improve/modernize it, not innovate or change it. That is what we want. As I mentioned at the beggining, You have so many options, if You want something different from "classic RTS"
It is important to note, that C&C (Dune) formula was not perfected like Age of Empires or Starcraft. The company, who owns C&C trademark screwed it and use C&C mark to make mobile games
You know, this is like complaining, why they did "copy and paste" and made C&C Tiberian Sun in 1999, if there was C&C from 1995 already.
Or why they made Battlefield V, if there are previous Battlefield games.
Similarly, the music lines up pretty well with the original C&C music, which can feel a bit strange in a Tiberian Sun environment. I personally enjoy Tempest Rising's tracks but they have nothing on Tiberian Sun's, which were ridiculously good. Scouting, Valves, Mutants, Pharotek...
no thanks people here want classic cnc / 2000 rts back , this is it. go play something else.
Supreme Commander is closer to 1995 than it is to 2025, it also is a large scale RTS, unlike C&C/Tempest Rising, keep trying bud.
