10 bucks?
For playing it a week earlier? Really?
I am hyped as EFF for the game but damn...
Is that necessary? At least add more for 10 bucks extra. Maybe the Music DLC for free at least.

On top of the 7 days early access the deluxe edition also includes the full Original Sound Track and the digital artbook.

Don't you get the Commanders Pack as well?

Yes, the commander pack is included in all preorders - basic and deluxe.
I don't normally bother with deluxe editions as they're normally priced much higher than the normal editions and just aren't worth it. Like an extra £10-15, or more. However, in this case it's not bad at all. Only £6 (~$7.50) above the normal edition price.

I also want to support these kinds of games so we hopefully get more in future. RTS is my favourite kind of game and there's been slim pickings over the recent years, prior to the recent resurgence and this year, especially, looks very promising.

It's just a extra support thing with reasonable additions for the extra cost. It's way better than some other game I know of that adds over 100 bucks to the cost for the extra stuff...
I'm gladly supporting this because I want to see more real-time strategy games like this with a strong single-player campaign in the future!

its worth it for the soundtrack alone tbh

Get a job and you wont worry over $10
Or just wait a week. Things like this are a cancer for gaming.

Some companies do it because they want playtesters to test for bugs before a full release. And the people who bought early access will pay to test instead of the company paying people to be the testers.
Pay to access it early is sh*t, but a little bit better than the cut out DLCs sold as preorder bonus. Especially because new releases are usually broken and they need some patches until it is fixed.

Be happy that you live in the US and $10 feels nothing to you.
And don't be toxic towards people who are less lucky.

How does it have bad effect for gaming?

You are absolutely no forced into pre-order or buy extra deluxe edition, and you do not pay just for 1 week early acces, there is soundtrack, artbook etc - bonuses, that are not related to gameplay, which You can just ignore.

If somebody is not able to wait 1 week for a PC game, it is personal problem

I am employed, it is more about principles.
But the fact that the 10 Bucks also include all DLC and just add the 7 day earlier access as a bonus (which i was unaware of by the time i wrote the post) makes it good enough for me to consider a purchase.

I bought the game on Instant Gaming and registered the game on 23.04. I do not have the Commanders Pack for which I decided to buy before 24.04, which was a condition for obtaining this bonus.
I reported it to STEAM - your problem is not ours, contact the seller
I reported it to INSTANT GAMING - your problem is not ours, contact STEAM
I reported it to STEAM again - your problem is not ours, contact the manufacturer's technical support
I reported it by e-mail to support@quanticlab.com - they told me to send various screenshots and... silence
But all you have to do is check and... add the bonus due to your STEAM account. But who is supposed to do that? Nobody knows... that's how it turned out:steamthumbsdown::steamthumbsdown:

Instant Gaming is a grey market vendor and Steam is not related to them. Use at your own risk and ideally just avoid using.
