Any more sci-fi story based RTS recommendations? (like this one)
Obviously C&C series.
But other ones I can only think of is:
- Grey Goo
- Halo Wars
- Supreme Commander
- Ashes of the Singularity (any good? has it some story?)

Starcraft 1 and 2 of course.
Supreme Commander 2
Planetary Annihilation (Supcom 3 kind of - similar resourcing and such, but you get to throw planets at each other too). Though its basically without a story

Ashes of Singularity has some story but its reasonably storylight in general. It's main draw is having a LOT of units on the map at once with physics based weapon firing. On a decently beefy computer system it looks beautiful to watch and you can have huge armies fighting it out with loads of smaller units and some big titanic ones. Without being so broken that it ends up like Supreme Commander games where titans dominate in the extreme.

It's honestly great fun and worth playing if you're an RTS fan.

Ah yes starcraft how did I overlook that one!
Thanks for the Ashes of Singularity feedback!

Total Annihilation as the old school version of Supreme Commander.
Dawn of War (original through to Dark Crusade) may be a bit different but still great fun and a good introduction to 40K.

Lambda Wars is pretty neat but the game looks abandoned and unpolished, still the skirmish is fun.

You can try ZeroSpace demo now

It has 50GB, but it is good,

If You want older games, get Starcraft 1 remaster, it has the best story within RTS
Falling Frontier is not 'normal' rts but probably it will fit your taste.

2nd best - Homeworld 1 is just above it.
