THQ Nordic bailing
I noticed yesterday that THQ Nordic is no longer listed as the publisher on the Steam page and the official FAQ has been updated with the sentence "Tempest Rising will be published by 3D Realms who took over the publishing effort from THQ Nordic recently.".

I find that kind of concerning. Was this caused by the restructuring process at Embracer?
How will that change affect the finished product?

We are continuing to support Tempest Rising but the publishing duties were taken over by Saber/3D Realms. As the development team was already in that branch of Embracer it allows the most efficient setup for the success of the product.

Whole Embarcer thing might actually explain quite a few things happening with THQ Nordic lately though I think in grand scheme of things nothing will change. 3D Realms is a subsidiary of Saber Interactive who are in turn a subsidiary of Embracer who formerly were funny enough THQ Nordic. If your head is spinning then it should be, but bottom line seems only the name of the publisher has changed, not the actual company doing the publishing.

As far as I'm aware, 3D Realms isn't even 3D Realms, either. If my cursory reading was right, they're legally the same company, but a wholly different studio now.

There was a term for this, that I remembered reading a while back, but it fell out of my brain when I wasn't looking.

What about the promised German voice output?

Much as I don't trust Embracer, I don't really trust 3D realms all that much these days and I definitely do not trust Saber interactive (who regularly make deals with Epic a lot of the time).

Very last thing I ever want to see for an RTS is for it to be promised to release on Steam, provide a demo and then be in limbo for a while before going exclusive to Epic (because that'll be a sure fire way to get me to never buy your game ever).
