What happened to the demo
What happened to the demo, I finally got a day off and they already got rid of the demo. How cheap :bellowwitch:

The demo was part of the steam fest, which is a time limited event sadly :(

.... it is not the developers fault "you were not available" (when, if you really wanted to make the time for it, you would probably have had an hour for it)
so it is no the Developers fault, don't blame them, have a great day.

Yeah, not their fault, understandable.
But I'm in the same situation, downloaded it a while ago and had no time to play. Only got to it now - "No license".

So, for people like me and since there are no reviews yet, what was your impression of the demo? Is the game complete? Gameplay? Difficulty? Trying to decide if I should wishlist it or not.

It got Demolished.

During the demos we could play the first two missions of Dynasty and GDF campaign, as well as play multiplayer on 3 maps for 2 weeks during the steam RTS fest. There was even a small community organized 1v1 tournament with some really cool matches.

The game is solid, music is fantastic, the story seems interesting and the gameplay is fun, units are pretty unique and the balance is pretty enjoyable.

If I were to make a comparison, I would probably say this game feels a bit like command and conquer with a little bit of starcraft added to it.

I liked it very much (rating 8/10) and I actually already preordered the game.

:steamthis: That was a good read. Good start for a quick review.
I didn't play the first demo because it was also for a limited time.

I believe the demo availability is up to the publisher but I think steam encourages them to pull the demos out when there are no special events.
Loved the campaign missions but that advanced access trash marketing stunt needs to be banned by law IMO.

I agree with you completely.

Imagine blaming devs because you couldn't be arsed take 30m to try a demo that was available for days
Yea tried to play it, and its not working. So stupid

OK, so it's really crazy to expect potential customers to schedule exactly the time slot where a demo is available for a short time. That has a touch of complacency about it. I mean, there's tons of competition. I wonder why the developer, or for that matter the publisher, decided to offer the demo for a very short time. To me, as a mid-ager, it seems somehow dubious. I work full-time and certainly don't plan my life around limited demo availability. So the question as to why this is being done is certainly justified. And as a fan of the original C&C games, I'm entitled to my opinion. Maybe there really is a good reason why this is done. Maybe the developer or publisher will enlighten us.

LOL. Yeah The Developers should have checked our Diaries. I mean there have only been three public demos, two in the last couple of months. If you are a real RTS and TR fan, then you would have been more aware of the live demos being available.

And to be honest, this comment has a whole lot of self-obsessed entitlement to it. The publisher need not ask you when it's convenient for you to try out their demo. When they should happen to offer it (which they don't need to), it's up to the customer to try it out during the period in which it is being offered, and if they miss out, well... they miss out.
