Disappointment with the demo
I do hope their are some major changes before the game's release. I had been looking forward to a C&C successor but honestly this game is just lackluster. Somehow the graphics seem more unappealing that C&C 3 and so does the gameplay. I'll probably just play C&C 3 and Kane's Wrath at this point instead.

And man, what is up with that mission introduction. Did nobody notice how bad the audio/lip syncing was? An FMV cutscene made with no-name actors filmed in someone's basement would have been the better choice.

ur playing a demo thats probably close to a year old at this point. game still doesn't have a release date.
as for looks, its all subjective, i think this game looks great. a nice step up from cnc3 by far tbh.

Yeah I think you're way off lol. The visuals are sweet. The effects work is great. The lip sync doesnt mean anything in a demo, lets be serious here. And Im an old bastard who replays old C&C games every couple years, pretty recently actually... I still got my original discs lying here from the 2000's lol.... to say this is somehow worse is something that I don't see I guess.
You want disappointment? I just tried STORMGATE.... Before that I was super excited about CoH3 only to see that THAT looked and felt worse in every way. Before THAT I thought IRON HARVEST was gonna be great and it was a sluggish boring experience that looked cool... but had nothing else.

Im looking forward to more from this game. Theres only so many times I can play through the old ones. I do however wish it had live action actors like. Tim Curry by himself made RED ALERT 3 worth playing over and over lol.

Yeah CoH3 and Iron Harvest were both big disappointments for me as well. Feels like nothing really scratched the itch that Dawn of War and CoH2 left. I agree, I think live actors would have been a much better choice. I mean, lets not kid ourselves, this is basically what C&C4 should have been, and they've leaned into that so heavily already, why not go FMV style like C&C always did.

C&C 4 was such a letdown after how good C&C 3 and RA3 were. I really miss the days of good RTS games. I would kill for a game like Empire Earth 1, hell, even a remastered version of Empire Earth 1.

The only con I think I'm having so far is the unit scaling, the infantries need to be a bit smaller compared to the vehicles.

The poor quality FMV is one thing, but what really turned me off the most was the way everything seems to burst into a weird fountain of debris after blowing up. Every single time. Then there's the steered vehicles that turn in place like they're using friction steering. After a little while, that was all I could see. Honestly, I think postponing the launch was a good idea and I hope they're able to take their rosy stained glasses off and fix these things.

So feel free to play C&C 3 instead, or another "C&C successor" on the market

Tempest Rising has a problem with unit pathfinding (moving in group, etc), otherwise the gameplay looks superior than C&C3, because its counter system - infantry is not pointless in TR

Man, is audio/lip syncing a real problems for You? the mission introduction is fine.

“Audio/Lip” asynchron!! woot?!

Definitely a reason NOT to buy C&C, no matter how good it will be!

Them music alone elevates it far above C&C 3 for me. The gameplay engine supports uncapped framerate, which also puts it way above any Sage engine game, even with a 60fps mod.
