This, just all this.
Story with interresting settings, locations and people/factions. Cutscenes that help pull you into the world, consequenses of completing a mission etc. All wrapped around a good core gameplay loop that isn't trying to hammer in some high APM E-sport ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
yup its amazing how in an rts, if you can get into the world and themes, then the units in the game start to have more of a personality and you enjoy using them more. reason games like C&C were great is because of this, every unit had a vibe, and this was all thanks to the campaign, fmv and general story telling. Watching a fmv of a flame tank rock up or a stealth tank made you hype that you was going to get it in the mission, and right there that unit has a personality.
I do feel many modern rts fail because without a campaign, units are just units and the game hasn't pulled you in enough.
I really do miss the days of being spoken to as if I were part of the world, a commander working their way up the ranks in one military organisation or another.
What a petty, nasty piece of work you are.
..altho im not an expect and copyrights,,, pretty sure EA cant do a damn thing,
because its CLEARLY shows that the devs of this game ARE NOT ripping ♥♥♥♥ off,
theres no assets, textures, or audio/visual that is taken from ANY of the command and conquer games...
and if EA want to go down that rabbit hole of trying to say they made "ALL" the RTS style games that we all know and love the true C&C games to be,,, then they can go get butt****** right into a pool of sharks....
as being 35 years old i can confidently say theres been so many RTS games of that style long before EA even came into existence ,,, the amiga and commodore had quite a few games of the same style ♥♥♥♥♥ the atari and spectrum had some
<edit>
fun fact
to all you twits saying all games like C&C are rip offs... let me shot you down right now...
the first C&C game was made in 1995
the first ever RTS game was a game called "Herzog Zwei" made in 1989
sooo... if you want to play that game, then i call you on that and say command and conquer is a rip off from Herzog Zwei, :)
So if EA wants to sue for Tempest Rising. The Herbert Estate has a better case of rinsing EA out head to toe. :P C&C being such a clear rip off of Dune 2.
and people called RTS games before Herzog too. Which reminds i was supposed to write someone back in the coh2 forum.
as for reminding you to post to someone :), glad we could help lol
if they seriously pull that stick... its so freaking stupid.........
people are killing people on a daily basis... it just happens to be ukraine vs russia this time...
who cares... devs need to keep politics out of games
(well... doesn't apply to games like civilization... but you know what i mean lol,,, could be worse at least putin could go full gandi on us lol..., bonus points if ya get the ref <3)
this game is not a rip off but a tribute to great games like Command and Conquer and Starcraft you dimwitted ♥♥♥♥♥
