The game has a heavy single player game with cutscenes after and at the start of every mission, stuff like that doesn't go ftp. The focus is sp atm. The reason why rts has been dead for ages is because they have tried to chase trends like dow3 and then AA and ofc ftp all of which failed...
PS Traditional RTS are not dead, they don't make as much money as COD or other similar games but they have an audience.
You don't seem to understand my question?
Even if an RTS game just sells skins, that creates it's own readability issues. I guess a F2P RTS could release new SP content which is fine, but that's a lot of work - maybe it could release new SP only cosmetic, items, units, abilities etc... but once you play through the campaign is there really that big of an urge to do it again with a yellow hat on your commander? I dunno
No MTX or free to play BS.
Again, if you're not trolling, do explain to me how do you expect the developers to make money with this game, if its FTP, what would be the business model for them to make money? Do you want a shop with microtransactions and if you want to unlock this tank pay us 10$ or what?
I only play single player in games (apart from Call Of Duty) and I always enjoy them, especially Skirmish modes against the AI. Everything you said and want is the exact opposite from what I want from a game. But that is ok, we are all different and I am happy to pay for any game I am interested in. This one looks really good :)
W3 was big because of the MP just as well, more so then the single player.
