I won this game in a giveaway, so it was "free" but not from a company or developer, thus I am not beholden to anyone on my review (I will not check the free box).

The only thing "heroic" about this game is that it takes "heroic" effort to complete it. Not because it is hard, but because it is just not a good game. I enjoy most games in the match-3 genre, but not loving this one. There is no instruction on the "power-ups", such as "horse hoof" or "throwing knives", which you can figure out pretty quickly, but it just indicates the lack of polish. This has potential, but right now it is a "No" in my book.

unplayable game

This is a 'Match-3' game, you need to beat your opponent by constantly eliminating blocks. Different from other 'Match-3' games, your skill is not the most important in this game. The most important thing is luck, because the random props are powerful and can help you a lot. If you encounter props many times in one game, you will win easily.
I've seen many people give bad comments on this game, but personally, it's just a tiny little game. Its music is also very good. I think it's a little pretty good.

"Heroic Adventures" - This is the case when a seemingly ordinary (basically watered down) puzzle game challenges the player (unnecessary) and player understands that victory depends on his attention and reaction and RNG.

Sharpen your sword (not your mind) and go on an (insane) adventure! In order to perpetuate your name in history (leaderboards?), you need to defeat the 1000HP dragon and on the way you will (meet&greet) many other stupid enemies. Enemies have different characteristics (allegedly), so you need to act quickly by collecting combinations of 3 (fist bug) or more identical tiles to attack the enemy. As you progress, your character becomes stronger and learns new (randomly dropping) magic spells: you can turn the enemy into a stone, or make a hoof strike, make a big combo and deal a lot of damage to the enemy! (Sometimes they simply come too late)

Game Features:
- 3 locations (for 30 levels in total, variation level 10%)
- Dozens of enemies (nope they just change their HP)
- Nice graphics (before the year 2000)
- Steam Achievements support
- Interesting casual gameplay (like timewaste)

How can you mess up match 3 game so badly?

Heroic Adventures is a basic match-3 game with a little RPG-looking combat skin slapped lazily over it. It looks like it was flipped from a NW.js template for doing basic match-3 games.

Locked resolution, terrible quality (typical from NW.js garbage) make this worse than your average free mobile app match-3 game, but that doesn't stop copy+paste merchants, Garage Games, from charging $2 USD for it. If you want a match-3 game, play one free on the web or on mobile, don't pay for this.

Interesting Game

How do you f*ck up a simple 3 match game?
It's full of bugs. HOW IS IT FULL OF BUGS? IT'S A CONNECT 3 GAME HELLO?
For example there are 3 connected by default but it doesn't do anything, and when the ''horseshoe'' thingy explodes you can't move AT ALL only after restarting the game itself.
I do not understand how you can actually mess up the most simple thing ever.

1/10 Would just play other connect 3 games instead of this mess again.
