For the context: I did Xcom , Phoenix Point and many other TRPGs on highest difficulty but this thing confused me. 1st sector, 1 skull, my ship is being boarded. I'm being put in a GIANT map. Move speed is like 5 cells per AP and vision is like pathetic 10 cells ahead. No saves. I'm moving from cover to cover, using overwatch, standard procedure. So I'm crawling through this enormous hangar. 5 turns. 8 turns. No signs of enemy. I'm getting bored. Finally starting to meet their groups, killed 3 packs. Next...

Hi. This is in no way critiuqe, but trying to find out if this is a game for me despite all the Xcom vibes that I love. How much sand-box and trial by error is this?`Obvius there will be a learning curve when getting into a new game, but Xcom would be more liniar with the "story mode" vs the sand-box feel I get here. Here is the feedback from me up to now. I played 3-4 games. Overall i like the space idea. So many things can happen Here is some comments from my end 1) The battle maps for me are too large. I understand ship or colony but when you dont know where to go and the hearing something is too fast to see the direction.
