some gaming/garden bugs
Starting things off with what I've said in the past, not all technically bugs but still. Plant descriptions don't match up with the reality of the rest. IE Bonsai gives x1 at stage 1, progressively more, but even at stage 5 for example less than fungi on stage 5...even though Bonsai's mutation entry says it gives 4x bits, more than the "normal 3X", the "normal 3x" is also only true for fungi and no other plant.

As for other bugs:
-rarely plants will spawn on each other

-rarely pick all plants will still pick chemical plants (similar to how filtered items can still appear rarely)

-rarely the growth order will be ignored when picking all (normally pick all picks plants based on their "age", first grown plant, then second etc)

-Pick all plants vs Sprinkler, pick all seems to pick plants based on the number of your max possible unlocked plant spaces. When picking all and then growing new plants (like with sprinkler) it will keep picking more plants even if there was a time frame inbetween where no plants were picked OR grown, will not pick all freshly grown plants. Only "tested" while at least one or more chemical plants were present

-some upgrade costs collide with the displayed amount aka 89 billion might actually cost more than 89 billion OR you actually have less than 89 billion despite the game saying so (because it rounded up, this is true for other features in the game but I didn't keep track of which)

-the gaming minigame (in my opinion the worst because it) is almost literally broken, every now and then the game will stutter, the game will then remember the input and KEEP it, ie if you steered right when it happened the game will force push the panel to the right even without input. Going back and forth left/right fixes it but will probably still ruin your run, this happens randomly. Same for all other minigames but it's more bearable

Was bored and watched the gaming garden grow. Well, try to grow, because not much happened. Plants sprung as they're supposed to, but all of them stayed at their first "evolution", after waiting 10 minutes I started picking some and played around with that and observed why evolutions don't count for the shell. Part of this seems to explain other issues as well.
(added this after writing the rest but put it here because it makes more sense: After picking one or more, plants actually can evolve on their own while watching the garden. So similar to eggs for pets, plants seem to be able to evolve only when the garden is full (at least after having had an empty garden, but picking plants at this point does not facilitate otherp lants to evolve so there's still some other inhibitor. For example, all organically grown, a cactus evolving 1 weed from stage 1 to 4, 1 weed from 1 to 3 and 2 bonsai from 1 to 3 will add 1 evolution count for the first weed, within moments the second weed evolved to 4 on its own, the shell count updates live so that's great. The 2 bonsai evolved shortly after from 3 to 4, both counting for the shell. The rest of the garden is still frozen in time.)

Apparently the game makes a difference between organically grown, chemically grown, sprinkler sprouted and voraci grown plants. Not all of them count for evolutions, as far as I could tell all organically grown plants counted, almost only grew weeds funghi and bonsai so it's not much to judge really. Though I am guessing that the game makes a difference between evolutions from different plants, I might just have watched non organic higher plants evolve but not count though. What I can safely say is that countable evolutions only count with the level 4 (aka 3 times evolved) plants. (what I can't say is whether or which higher evolutions count, collective unique evolutions stuck at 54 witjh all having their sixth form as the final evolution, so far).

p.s: adding a salt button or something to stop any plants from growing would make deactivating Kitsune Roxie more reasonable

But it also seemingly makes a difference why/how they evolved, cacti don't always make an evolution count even if the plants were organically grown...even when the cactus itself was grown organically. So some of these combinations hate each other and don't work for the counts whatsoever while some others do. It's possible cacti don't count when evolved at all. What is for sure: level 1 cactus evolved another cactus to 4 and other plants to 3, the level 4 cactus brought more plants to level 4 but neither the evolved cactus, nor the evolutions caused by the evolved cactus counted for the shell.

side note: sprinkler recharges while watching, no problem there, can't say whether the time is right but judging from what I get from chemical plants 1 drop after a little under an hour checks out.

Never bothered to check more things in detail ever since and the occasional observation brought nothing new BUT the other post I repleid to regarding this made me pay closer attention and I noticed that currently it makes no changes even if there is a full garden or any plant that has been picked, all plants will remain at their level 1 evolution for the entire session, somehow...
Also, after growing impatient myself I hit the...uhm...okay now it gets wild. Anyway, got impatient, picked all, then hit the kitsune roxie and suddenly all 20 possible plants popped out at stage 2. And now they keep bopping back and forth between 1st and 2nd stage, though in 5 second intervals (roughly, I counted with my pulse which is pretty close to a second and yes I know but ignore that, it is what it is), sometimes no plant evolves back or forth but often several do at once (seen between 1 and 5), not always in the same direction and not in consistent pairings either.

At the moment I had my buboniic conjuror running. I'll restart the game and see what happens then. Ah ok, the game apparently got another update (bugfix I guess). The plants grew past stage 2 but everything in stage 1 or 2 still has a chance to switch, happens to all plants. I did log in first with the cunjuror and the roxie was also still active. Oh right, growth cycles still occasionally skip and the bits gained are at least visually for the corresponding stage of the plant. Growth cycles without Roxie are longer than 20 seconds but I can't say how long exactly since I'm busy doing other things to pass time, but as usual none of them grow past their initial stage. The only difference now being that they exclusively grow 1 by 1, it's never more than one either.
Switching to a different character results in what I can only guess is the garden catching up, aka the garden previously probably just showed a slowed progress (kind of like desyncing as it happens), now all plants are at stage 4 and none change, I swapped when the garden had 13 stage 1 plants (none of them jumped back and forth), now it has 20 stage 4 plants and 1 sprinkler charge ( thought that most likely has been charging since I last used it, irrelevant to what time passed between now and when I started watching closer. When I logged in with the conjuror again before, all plants grew too but all except one were at stage 4, one was at 5 (with no picking since logging in), the current garden population has yet to change...well some time later a cactus went to 5 the sprinkler slurped up another drop of water out of thin air and I'm done testing this for now.

I know this is shooting myself in the foot but...there's a bug that when you're in the cave opening gaming in quick ref it will spawn crops all the time as if you're activating a full sprinkler. It also works sometimes outisde the cave but regardless of character, haven't checked too much because I also don't want to exploit this...though I can't tell whether that's not ACTUALLY by design and that every other instance is a bug. Meaning, with all upgrades by now I guess there is a chance plants should grow that quickly no matter where, no matter what. But since I couldn't calculate growth speed/cycles (or didn't bother getting into, more like) before, I can't say which is the case now. The supposed 6 minutes of time it takes to grow back is nowhere near true either way so this could be a bug in either direction...
