AFK Trapping & Refining

Lately - the past two weeks or so - I've noticed that for the traps I've set and for refining, I come back from being AFK and no time has elapsed. For example, I set 3 hour traps, AFK'd, came back, character screen says 4+ hours have passed, but my 3 hour trap still has 2 hours and 56 minutes left, and I've only had one refinery cycle - 2 total salts. Other AFK gains seems to be fine - fighting, skilling, etc. Please help!!

Here's a perfect example. I set 20 traps on all my toons last night between 9-10pm ET. It is now 5 ET the next day and they are still showing 5-7 hrs left on them. How/why?
