I just earned some gems when logging into the steam version for the first time. I accidentally clicked the portal and lost quite a few of them. I am very sad.

I once lost a bunch of gems because an achievement proc'd and I went through a portal by accident when trying to pick the gems up. My item pickup and portal avoidance skills are a lot better now, but as a new player I was pissed and I mourn those gems to this day.

+1 haven't missed any yet myself but always paranoid the ones over the portals are gonna end in a portal click before the gem is picked up.

+1, I've recently lost gems from 2 achievements while switching maps, as the achievements I got triggered during the teleport fade out screen, which was just really awful to see. Very frustrating system
