Cooking not working?

Suddenly my meals just don't increase in quantity, just staying at whatever number they are. The only change has been the amethyst + kitchen upgrades pushing my kitchen stations all to "too fast" but I didn't think that'd be a problem

I was in similar situation once. It turned out to be wrong active talent preset on my vman.
Vman has Blood Marrow skill that at high levels increase cooking speed in huge way,

Check if that's not the case here.

Definitely appreciate the recommendation but that isn't it unfortunately. More accurately, it turns out that my cooking is working sometimes and sometimes not even though it should be working on all characters. Not quite sure what's going on but at least right now it's working
