Like, my family is named xjochumx and all my characters have that name.
would be so much better considering that with the amount of characters you can have, reasonable unique names will run out quick, and even abstract ones may already be taken.
since 2020.
Would 15,000 users named "Tim" get confusing? Maybe to users, but not on the sever side as it would look something like "uniqueUserEmail.Tim" internally. Binding the names to the unique emails, which is already being done, eliminates the need for a secondary username DB.
Now, if Lava ever adds in MMO mechanics that are worthwhile into the game then I could see a reason to police names, but that seems exceptionally unlikely with how often he disappears after the whales fill his pockets in the wake of updates.

It says my next 2 character slots require a combined level of 9999.... that's what I'm a little worried about.
