best build for pet battle?

Earlier more conservative fighting still works, aka plain hp/atk so borger/defender a healer, a damage dealer, if you have half decent power pets that should help enough, I used to use defstone and badumdum a lot too, but later on you have to cheat the system, but that also relies on RNG so you'll likely have to try several times before it works.

For later, try combinations of borger, rattler/peapeapod, refiller, defender, looter, monolithic.

Note that you can use pets with the same skill if it is a different pet, like Mammooth and Sandy Pot both being looters or Glublin and Walking Stick both being refillers. Lava has made some of the meta irrationally harder by removing skills like monolithic from the looter skill pool, but meanwhile there have also been more updates and upgrades to make pet arena easier. It will take time to get through all and there is no shortcutting. You will have to increase your Archer/Beast Master and breeding level for this

I got through most of it by using the miasma, cofee, burger and bone guy. Maybe a shield guy thrown in.
Later I started using the treasure guys.

I did have to look up a guide for the very last area because it was absolutely insane.

If you dont have the burger pets unlocked, I just used whatever highest power pet I had as a frontliner with a shield pet behind them.
