Linux : Memory leak ?

Hy I've tried to play the game on linux with proton and it seems to have some memory leak or worse.

After some times my whole computer was running at 1fps it took me 10 min just to close the game

Does anyone had similar issues.

Noting to do with Linux! :-D
The game will absolutely ♥♥♥♥ itself randomly and heavily lag or stutter for no real reason.
Most prominent when you do any minigame (Fishing is the least susceptible somehow).
The worst one seems to be chopping. But then some harvest nodes for some games are in "busy" maps that are worse.

X_X. It needs a hard optimization pass if possible. Stuff like the pong game in W5 basically impossible to get cheeves for without sanity loss.

It's a common issue that has existed since it's launch, it's not technically a bug it's a feature. Pretty sure you left the game running in the background and you don't have autoloot. The game keeps track of every item dropped because coins vanish after ~30 minutes and other items after 120. The game also keeps track of how long monsters, npcs and basically everything is on screen. And the more it has to calculate the more it crumbles under its own weight.

So the question is up to you
A) only play this game literally actively and don't let it idle in the background
B) pay lava's ransom to release your performance-hostage
C) stop playing
D) *insert your own possible next action*

There are more issues that lead the game to crash, as Talon Rose has pointed out already. One little thing Lava COULD do but can't be bothered to do, is put up a common issues discussion around here or something where he explains this. That way people like you wouldn't have to wonder so much, and someone like me doesn't have to play the guessing game because you can't know better what the issue might be and give more precise information (sorry if this comes off as confrontational, it's not against you personally, but this is something that has existed since launch and the preventable reactions on top of the situation itself is just getting more annoying when it wouldn't have to be this way even if the issue just can't be fixed)

What exactly were you doing? What screen were you on? What did your character do there?
