Not sure if im doing this right
just started within the past ~40ish hours. Started with the luck bonus because i was thinking why not, first class was warrior, after a bit of afk grinding my mining and cutting hit level 8, a bit before that i was able to create a second character, went with archer to do smithing on. and earlier today i was able to make a woodcutting mage

The thing I am not sure of is if i am better off putting the talent points into specialized skills like woodcutting and smithing now or if i would be better off waiting until later. thoughts on this? As a slight note I am at the point where I am about to finish up crafting the copper pants which require 200 logs and 80 bars. which I currently have available if this makes any difference.

You should start buying every single shard of Skill reset in every store. Resets once a day.

If you're trying to beat world 1 ASAP, it's fine to have each character cuttting/mining. But it's probably wiser to level them up to around 30? 40? before you give them a non-fighting job for more skill points.

But that's just me.

might have made a slight error in that case, used one to put archer on smithing stuff. doubt it will be that much of a setback though

i wouldnt worry about buying all that stuff mentioned because some of it will happen naturally and it shouldnt be your fokus as you are just starting and acutal spending money only becomes available once you are having your characters farm in world 2.

seems kinda out there at the moment, currently got to the point where i can mine iron and if i had the materials craft steel axe, birch longbow and quarterstaff along with the class specific helmet, though I am not sure if the helmets are worth it with the investment required. And it is seeming like im closing in on finishing world 1, any suggestions before i look at attempting the boss?

Also another question: What should i do for my 4th-6th characters? I just started being able to mine iron ore, which seems to take a while, and upgrading my pickaxe will require me to be around level 18 or so mining. and to upgrade my main's armor i will need around 600-700 iron bars which is quite a bit. Do i just go for a more dedicated miner or what? Just seems like if i will want to progress I will need to make at least 2 sets of iron gear or wait until my main swaps out iron for something higher level and use the iron on one of the other characters to level so they arnt dying constantly

theres really no way to rush it. its all planned as a long game.
-i reccommend a second warrior as 4th character because then you can have a more dedicated mining char later on.
-smithing on your archer is kinda meh and i didnt see any real advantage but when you make him a bowman (advanced class) in world 2 you can use him to catch bugs... its slow but you need a metric ton x_X
-your first mage is pretty much stuck as your main woodcutter but besides a few recipies woodcutting only seems to be used to increase.. woodcutting so.. ^^ if you make him an Alchemist as his advanced class it will help with the cauldrons in world 2
-if you make your first warrior a barbarian he can use all his fury to ... fish! which is a terribly slow progressing skill and you might be better of getting your fish from the collosseum in world 2 once you unlock it ^^
-as your fifth character you can choose between second archer(hunter), second mage (wizard) or the "secret" journeyman class which unlocks after wasting tons of material to get it.
-journeyman shine at killing mobs offline because honestly they are kind of bad at playing active since they only have 1 damage skill and its weak. (they do however have a skill that lets you spawn more crystal carrots so once that is interesting later on its actually very nice to have.)
- it helps to first use builds to kill stuff rather than farm wood/ore at the start because the jobskill lvl ups give less skill points than the class lvl ups. im having great success with afk builds but they need a certain baselvl to work and they are bad at being played active which is very weird to me
https://www.idleoncompanion.com/ if you click the "builds" tab you can see what the difference between active and afk builds are.

so dedicated miner eh? Also I feel as if im closing in on the W1 boss, is there any specifics i need before fighting them Like a certain hp pool or anything like that?

Anything above 200 hp, some food and decent gear can steamroll it.

However, you can easily dodge it's attack.. it's doable as soon as you reach it.

you better focus on your main class, mining woodcuting can wait

World Boss 1 problem is not his attacks because they are easy to evade, it's how much damage you can do. If your damage is too low you might be stuck in a loop later in the fight and won't be able to kill him. If you waste 10 minutes trying to get his hp to half, like I did the first time, you're not ready to kill him.
