Beside, there's also another issue where you can't hand pick the items on the ground, so you have to keep clicking where an item of interest is at and keep tossing away the uninteresting items until you get the items you want.
Maybe if there's enough people complaining he will sell the fix on the cash shop for $5.
Your problem only arises when you play actively and don't have autoloot or have a full inventory.
There is a loot filter to prevent your screen from getting cluttered with items and you don't have to click constantly to pick up anything, you can simply hold the mouse button and drag the cursor over items.
There is a companion that unlocks the option to quick access your chest from anywhere in the world, so he could have collected everything.
Also, since clutter in this game is also used for upgrading player stats, probably not a good idea to ban them.
Ah yes, and if you don't want to play with weekly rng, you have to pay for the item to summon them again.
The best thing I can say is you didn't lose too much, yes at first it looks bad but you're going to get much more of them later much faster.
Remember that every screen change is resetting screens. The only exceptions are skills and mini games (like alchemy, hoops or the arcade). Even if you are on the same screen and teleport to that same one, it will reload/reset the screen.
I wouldn't count on a change for any of it though, maybe much later but for the foreseeable future that will not happen. It's how the game works and changing this would require changing the entire system the game works with. Look at it like this, if you don't have auto loot and leave the game running a bit, it's going to stutter like hell and that's just one screen, imagine the game needed to take care of several screens at once.
The main problem (I assume, I haven't heard/seen a word from Lava himself) would be that items that are on the ground have a life time. Coins last 20 minutes, other items 60 minutes. The game is counting the time for each item on the ground. The faster you get more items on the screen, the faster the game lags/stutters. Why I doubt this will change is because a change to that would make the auto loot almost irrelevant and people who bought it would likely feel cheated. There are some reasons why it would make sense to limit things either way but that goes beyond this discussion.
