use autoattack ALWAYS, no seriously A L W A Y S
and use swipe with mouse not some clicks to collect drops -that way your not going to switch maps and loose some unrecoverable stuff (quest drops, npc tokens etc)
That said, ShadowSkill is still right about how you should do it :P though that "revolutionary" bit was uncalled for. But you just seem to have started playing, you're gonna figure it out eventually! And sometimes it's just patience. If you really feel like you need to click, wait for it to move. They always walk around aimlessly (unless you use the berserker skill that makes all monsters come to you of course :P
Does that work better from above/below? Or is it maybe just a thing of preference? Personally I feel it easier to do from the side because even if they look like they are on the same spot, often items are just ever so slightly shifted to the side (I mean of course you're right, if it's one/some in between others go in from above/below to pick, but I mean beyond that)
YEah, above or below as in selecting the desired loot as to not fill inv with what you do not want and having to open it to drop things, not everyone will have the giga bags. Had to do that a lot till the account snowballing
