Wellington giving up quest not working?

I don't get what I'm doing wrong with this quest, im even doing what the wiki says to
It tells me to type "Darn you, Blobulyte! Why must you hide like a coward", I type just that. I doesn't work. I type it again close to Wellington. It doesn't work. I type it again, as a Maestro, next to the Blobulyte im supposed to be looking for... and it doesn't work I swear half the stuff involving the chat box straight up doesn't work.

is you game client set to english?? if not set it to english and try again
then, if you play on mobile (maybe?) -try either steam or web version
then you can also try turning off/on chat windows
i did that quest on few characters in last week and it work, you just need to stand on same platform then npc
just make sure all capitalization are in palce, esp in Blobulyte name

I tried multiple times both right next to and basically on the same space as the blobulyte, but I'll try again, just in case.
Additionally, I wasn't sure if it might factor in but, for whatever reason, the chat box doesn't let me capitalize anything. I don't really get it, and it didn't hinder me in some other quests involving the chat box (I think just yesterday I was doing the "the boomer ain't so bad" quest on one of my characters), so it seems strange that it would be an issue here.

I don't know what did it, exactly, but I did it! Notably, holding SHIFT let me put my text in caps.
