What mining level do I need to mine gold?

Less required level, it is what ever you need for map but at 100% mine rate you need 12.5k efficiency, even 3-5k efficiency is enough to get the first bits for a gear upgrade.

ah thanks I need to upgrade my pickaxe atm i'm using a copper one I need to level up a bit more to get the iron pickaxe

Actually you'll only need the efficiency for the 5% stated in the Wiki to mine the ore at all. No need to go to 100 initially.
Anything less than those 5% will result in 0 yield, even with the minigame though.

so i upgraded to a iron pickaxe and that did not change the chance for me to get gold.

So what is my best way to up my efficiency ?

card got me to 203 and i need to get to 312 before i can even get a single gold ore lol

if you're up to world 2, try and upgrade a few mining bubbles if not, i think you'll just have to slog out some iron until you level up enough.

yup, gold hits hard :) took few days to get it going well (500+/hr).

* you want higher level (40+) IMPORTANT!,
* subclass (really go for it ASAP, don't waste time elsewhere, just open portals, it's on 3rd map W2)
* it's good to have constellations open on all chars (a lot of money on the way there, one early is for mining),
* don't be afraid of dungeons (they yield really nice lvl 40 rings),
* alchemy bubble (brown, don't bother char-boosting liquid, go for colors/bubbles first),
* use upgrade things on tools, weapons and "better" armor (really don't hold them. Lvl 1 is worthless, just sell them, use lvl 2 - red ones - on whatever you can, buy them from W2 store)

Grab efficiency from everywhere before you think of gold :) It's not worth spending time on 50gold/hour. Get more combat XP instead, talent points are worth a lot more for mining.

Put skillpoints into Brute Efficiency, Idle Skilling;
Big Pick, Firmly Grasp It(1 point is enough), Copper Collector, Motherlode Miner;
get a Special Talent book with Supersource skill from Dungeon shop and level it up.
Upgrade your Pickaxe, equip items with as much Strength as possible.
Cards with +Strength, +% Mining efficiency.

After all of that you should have around 1500 Mining efficiency, which still isn't that great for Gold ore vein, but allows you to fill a backpack with Ore overnight.

go to the mineral node and click to mine it then click menu>afk info

the menu will tell you how much you are getting per hour, your efficency % ect. at botom left it will also show you how much you nee for 5% which is minimum needed for any gathering and how much you need for 100%

warrior is best for mining because they have skills that boost efficency for it by a lot, there are also star talents that give a lot of base line effiency
