Forge weirdness for anyone else?

Several times now I've noticed that, while the ore restock does work properly, I'll check back in on my forge after a few days and see that there is just 1 of each bar.

Does it auto go to stash, too? If so why does it then have 5000+ bars most of the time?

Also I pulled bars/ore out of the later tabs, I was checking to see if there was a 3rd or 4th card yet, and I also just saw that the ore is back again. Almost like the forge reset to how it was a few days ago, after I pulled the bars out.

Its kinda random but yes it does auto stash bars when the stacks get to full at first it didn't but he added it shortly after and it doesn't mention it in the auto bonus, it will also auto add oils that run out if you use them. some ores like copper can build up quite quickly so the are likely to have more in a stack cuz of that. but the smith itself has no capacity last i checked on the bar side, so it doesnt really matter at some point though it will auto deposit them all. Not sure when that happens though if its like on log in or character swap??? but it does happen.

If I remember, the forge auto-refills/deposits at shop reset. In-game text doesn't make it clear. I find it finicky too, doubting the numbers of bars but the automation works.

You can make sure of it yourself if you have an Archer using the forge progress per kill talent with copper in the forge. Then check before and after the reset.
