early game soft lock

i first started playing this game recently and on the first day of playing I soft locked myself to a point where i can do nothing. the soft lock is in the quest where you need to craft the boxing gloves / the first weapon you craft in the game. it happened because i crated the gloves before the quest started and, one of the materials given to you to craft them is only given once. there is no other way to get this material in the early game other then to receive them from the quest which i had already stuffed up.

i got softlocked in the warrior, archer, or mage quest, because when i selected a class, it didnt register. i need help with this.

See if you can abandon the quest and accept it again.
