The chopping and mining "mini-game" are not fun or completly broken
This is supposed to be an idle game with element of "rpg" and "mmo?!?" (still don't understand the mmo part of that game).... Yet some quest and believe loot are locked on a mini-game that is plain boring or broken.

Beside that... those mini-game are tied to a shared coldown of 5 try per account per day? I just don't understand the logic beind all this.

Can someone explain it?

The mini-games are mini-boosts to gather up extra resources quickly based on how well you do at them.

If it was 5 tries per character then a player would get 35 tries with 7 characters which is higher than the current maximum of 21 tries.
Speaking o which having 21 tries per character would just be insane considering you will be able to have more than 7 characters the more the game is updated so really 21 is pretty good for now.

Also you can just ignore their mini-games & idle as normal since the mini-games are a "perk" or active play.

Well... one quest I am on actually requiere to reach a score of 50ish at the chopping mini-game?
That might not be hard for you and other player... but I just recently learned that you can "multi-click" on the green bar on the first go-through and the mini-game will register all click... And another fact I didn't know was the cursor goes faster each time it reach a side ....

Knowing those fact... I can likely exploit an auto-clicker and reach insane score... but seriously... I shouldn't have to rely on such cheezy exploit to complete a quest.

On the other hand.... the mining mini-game... I haven't got a quest yet that requiered me to do something with it but.... seriously... that mini-game is such a mess I don't understand why it was released in this states...

I also understood that some drop from mining and chopping tree where locked beind reaching 100ish + score at the mining game... If I was mistaken... then It doesn't mather anymore...

Lastly... Their is also the fact that the mage... I believe have a skill tied to the best score reached at the chopping mini-game?

I mean... ignoring the mini-game and just geting the bare minimum reward wouldn't bother me so much if it wasn't tied to quest, skill and likely loot...

Also... I wouldn't mind having an infinite amount of try after your initial 5 or 21 try... if they weren,t rewarding item and only rewarding "score" for quest completion and skill grinding.

It would be nice to be able to still play them after the initial five attempts even if you don't get tangible rewards after that just to be able to practice and try to get good at them.

I've managed to get decent at all of them except the mining one, I do not like it at all, the hitbox on the gaps seem off.

Just wanted to clarify that the quest where they tell you to get a score of 150 at the chopping mini-game to get forest fiber doesn't actually require you to play the mini-game. You can just gather forest fiber from the gigafrog map and the quest will complete. Basically, the woodsman is a troll >.>

Thanks, nice to know. That at least solve one of my concern.

I haven't reached yet the fishing and catching one. So... I don't know if they feel good or if I will want to punch myself in the nuts.

The fishing minigame is hard, but strangely rewarding. Feels good to hit a tricky shot in that one, but it isn't easy.

Just write a couple of scripts in ahk. Not a big deal.

That's what feel more wrong about those mini-game. I don't think you should rely on such gimmick to progress in an idle game... As some players already mentioned. You can get the loot otherwise. But, the skill tied to the highest score and the quest locked behind a certain threshold completed... Relying on external tools or exploits just to get rid of those feel wrong.

But those mini-game are not fun anyway... And from some people who already replied in this topic. I am not alone thinking that those mini-game are not fun.

Suggestions to the developer. I understand you are alone working on this project. But you might want to do a survey on player opinion about those mini-game. Are player enjoying those mini-game? Do they feel rewarded? Do they feel obligated to exploit or use external software just to complete them? Do they sense they are progressing/getting better to those mini-game the more they play them? Does 5 or 21 try per account enough? Should item/skills/quest be tied to the score of those mini-game?

Just some questions I myself wonder already and likely some other players have.

I don't think mini-game should be removed as there was already works and time put into those. But, I question why they were introduced in a idle game.

Also, I might not have progressed enough to see the full extent of those mini-game. So my opinion are limited to my progression. Feel free to correct me if they are other mean to get higher score or modify those mini-game. like skill/equipment/item that would multiply your score or increase the length of the green bar in the chopping mini-game.

I've tried it and the fishing minigame bugs me. The bar that charges is vertical while the bar with the fish on it is horizontal, and they're different lengths as well. So I can't visual tell where I want to stop the bar I have control over. In most games that have a fishing mini game they're both on the same bar. I'm sure I could get a feel for what part of the vertical bar goes where on the horizontal one with practice, but just visually it's more of a guessing game what you're even aiming for beyond getting the timing right.

I dislike the minigames: I don't play idle games to test my hand-eye coordination. :)
