How to build efficient miner?

Hi,

I'm early game, 4 characters around lvl 30.
I have a warrior (lvl 30, mining lvl 16) which I intend to use mainly for mining.

I've dumped most points in strength as it synergize with class skills, normally.
I'm not sure it's the best way to do it.

I currently have 362 mining efficiency (copper pickaxe), 39% chance to hit iron ore, 0% gold. :'(

In the first tab Brute efficiency and Idle skilling have a much higher priority than fist of rage, and in the second tab tempestuous emotions and big pick are what you want to focus on. After that stockpile copper till you get 10K and use the copper talent. *Honestly speaking its better to focus on an AFK build to lvl fast before speccing into any mining talents.* What I mean is get to level 60 or 70 and use a talent reset potion. This seems very far away but I can guarantee you will not actually need gold until then. If you want to take my advice and use an AFK build (you'll level like 5 times as fast) just go to https://www.idleoncompanion.com/ it is extremely helpful

Big pick is an active spell, is it used even when afk? ( in rewards calculation)

I don't understand interest in picking "big pick" with many points in.

Is it only a pickaxe swing with better efficiency? (chance to hit)
It would be interesting to get higher level ores once in 10 seconds.

It only gets one ore as reward right?

I put 10 points in it but I'm not sure I should put more.

There are efficiency thresholds that will guarantee you 2 ores (or more) per swing, so Big Pick will also benefit any tier of ore if it passes those thresholds

You shouldnt start mining gold before about level 40 or 45, better later, except you need just a few for equipment. You need the skillpoints for efficiency. Get your subclass, should be easy with your current levels so you get more points for the second tab. And btw, all of your skills are "used" when afk. In fighting it doesnt really use it, its more like a part of the calculation of your afk damage.

Glad to hear I helped everyone. One last piece of advice, the sticks in the tree are literally the best xp farm in the game once you get to ~lvl 40

True, at least for the first few chars its by far the best, because they are really easy to farm. You just need 13 defence to get no dmg, what means you can go there pretty early. Additionally you can get bullseye statues there, which are really nice to safe talent points in your secondary stat.
