How to join a guild?

The list of guilds is always empty

Don't know I was lucky, first second ingame I got invited by a high level guild in the starter city, maybe ask there in chat

5 ways:

1. Double tap on any player in the game, and press the orange "Guild" button in their info.
2. See a guild in game under someone's name that looks like fun? Open up Guild tab in Codex, and press that blue "Join" button, and type in that guild name! If they have open space, they may invite you!
3. Ask people in game to invite you.
4. Level up and create your own guild!
5. Join the Discord (discord.gg/idleon) and look through the #Guild-Recruitment channel!

The game is P2W because the shop influences your character.

Well, it isn't malicious. Dunno why steam blocks the link. Anyway, not too hard to find the discord through other means.
