Thanks for letting us know. Congrats for not having that problem and making a very unnecessary topic bump... It was an issue but has long since been fixed since the day this topic was posted.

that issue was supposed to have been fixed literally the patch after the steam release.

Its possible its come back but i haven't seen it recently. But either way, steam has a big "Stop" button you can use if the game is still open after you close it.
