Am I stupid? I can't drag the invite onto anyone because the item interface takes up the entire screen. Is there a way to collapse the character and equipment info?

You can hold shift and click the invite to drop it if you are having a hard time dragging it off of the interface.

Well I dropped it, but that doesn't help me do the quest because clicking it just picks it up again.

You have to be standing by the correct NPCs when you drop it.

Okay that worked, thank you. I had to be standing practically right on top of them. Thanks for the help. But I still feel like this is incredibly stupid. We shouldn't have to resort to obscure workarounds to complete a quest. Things like this, as well as the minigames being required for certain quests are making me not want to play this anymore.

I can easily drag the invite off of the interface. You don't need an "obscure workaround" to do it. Not trying to start an arguement if there is a difference between the interface for different people.

I guess there must be a difference for some people, then, because my interface takes up 90% of the screen. If I maximize the window, the interface gets bigger. I can't drag anything from my inventory onto anything in the world. Not sure why it's different for some people and not others. Very weird.

With the inventory open, your player stats should be to the left of that. There should be open space to the left of your player stats to drag items for dropping, and some space above the inventory where you can drag and drop stuff.

Yes, that's what my screen looks like. But if the area doesn't scroll far enough, you can't get the NPC centered in that little sliver of open space to drop the thing onto them. Unless you're saying that it doesn't matter where you drag the item, as long as your character is standing close to the NPC? If that's the case, that would explain why I've been having such a hard time. Lightbulb!

Dragging the item out doesn't cause it to drop at that location. It always drops where your character is at. Seems like you've figured it out now.

just stand where you want to drop.. that is not that hard.. why the char should drop on the top right screen while you are standing on the bottom left screen? oO :D
