"Cast to sample X amount of current AFK gains." Doesn't say gains rate. Maybe Lava will see this and do some editing?
I can absolutely get how you would misunderstand, since it's a bit of a specific wording. Maybe it could be worded more clearly, but getting too specific would take up too much text. I'm not sure if it's worth changing in this case.
Also, just looking at this logically: Would gaining 1700 (10% of 17k) caps per hour really be reasonable? Not at all. Even with the 1-2 day investment of an AFK character. Maybe if it were 0.1% then it could be ok... leave someone AFK at spores for a month and you get 1 million spores and 1k spores per hour as your reward.
You don't need to AFK an hour. Use the skill and it gives you a count based on your hourly rewards (as shown in the AFK Info window), as you say.
That being said, the sample skill says "10% of your current AFK gains *rate*". A set of AFK gains is not a rate. It's true that it doesn't specify that it's the hourly rate.
In any case, I think rewording it would just be more trouble than it's worth, what with trying to find a different sentence that isn't too long.
