utterly unplayable
like many other people i too started to suffer from the memory leak issue.
i tried using ue4 tweaks, setting everything on low and changing resolution.
nothing i do fixed the fact that the game starts to run at 7-8 frames after i load in new areas/ load a cutscene.

i feel like its a joke going from max settings 60fps to 7fps because i turned a corner, but well thats UE4 for you.

my specs: rtx3070 (latest drivers)
6600k @4,3ghz oc
16gb ddr4
nvme ssd

at this point i will just refund, because i dont see them fixing it soon (with the weekend and all) this was the worst birthday present i game myself.

Ugh average 100fps dlss with all ray tracing set to high except the last rt option set to medium. Slight stutter here and there but not unplayable lolol
Atombom Mar 24, 2022 @ 10:24pm
The stutters are insane.

Am on laptop 1650 gtx, works well.
Inyobase Mar 24, 2022 @ 10:26pm
probably CPU related. i see some stutters with my 8700k i can imagine that the 6600k would be a little worse. on a 3080.

same 3070
after 1hour game slowdown and back to main menu and load refresh fps.
but, still problem on place like apartment has low fps.
hope they fix this issue.

I have a ryzen 3700x with a 1070 and this game runs at a constant 60 fps for most of the time. I drop down to the 40s sometimes during some of the indoor sequences though. I also haven't bothered to tweak with my settings at all, everything is set at high for 1920x1080.

I've heard the 3070 having all sorts of performance issues with new games lately. I have several friends playing Elden Ring on a 3070 and it runs terrible for them, meanwhile my 1070 was mostly a pretty solid experience considering what k ind of port iit is.

Flawless gameplay with RayTracing On and without blurry DLSS on RTX 3080. The only thing i noticed is that the game suffers from memory leaks, specially when going in and out buildings. It just happened a couple of times and going back to the menu resets the frames for some reason, so its not a problem. Still, damn japanese pc ports cant manage to launch without some kind of performance problem uh?

I have a RTX 3070, and have stable 144fps

Are the cutscenes broken too with sync issues?

Guessing the game doesn't like 4 core CPUs.

Runs well for a console port (lacks loads of settings for GFX) the stuttering is from unreal 4 almost all games built on it has stutters really not sure why devs don't try to work around it or just don't use Unreal 4 with 5 being a thing locked 144 when in the open world with 6800xt/5600x 32gb ram. but cutscene is pretty fps droppy. i don't have game ready driver installed yet

yes i was also suffering from desync.

the CPU argumentation many use is wrong.
the UE4 memory leak as nothing to do with the cpu.
the game runs perfectly fine until you loaded to many textures. its a VRAM problem.

refunded the game, seems like i have to kill chaos until this is fixed.
Harry101UK Mar 25, 2022 @ 1:52pm
Same here. Drops from 100fps down to 5fps just when looking in some directions.
Sherbert Hoover Mar 25, 2022 @ 2:30pm
It's the same ray tracing VRAM memory leak issue that Cyberpunk 2077, Dying Light 2, and Resident Evil Village had.

I'm guessing that, just like those games, there's not going to be a solution basically ever, and if your hardware/driver situation for whatever reason is one of the setups affected by it, you're better off just refunding the game if RTX is a must.

It's preposterous nonsense that has been around as long as RTX cards have been available, Battlefield 5 also had this issue back in the day. Doesn't matter if you have a 3080 or a 2070, it'll pop up if you're unlucky.
