You do not need an SSD if you can stomach long load times and texture pop-in, considering though that the game is only 16GB and you need a pretty powerful PC to run it in the first place though you should probably have an SSD by this point.

It's more like this is a PS5 game and the developers didn't test it on HDD, just like other sys requirements, they don't mean it won't run on anything else, it just means they didn't go out of their way to make sure it does so you can't complain to them if it doesn't.

I was worried they were using some new method to r/w volatile data that they needed a SSDs speed to work. Without it might cause some popin issues with textures or what not, got worried for no reason.

Go get a SDD and stop being cheap. $50 SSD, $6 Enclosure and you dont even need to open up your PC.

YOU can get 2 TB 700MB/S ssd for less than 400 euros i got MINE MP 600 2TB 4950MB/SSD for 430 euros in 2020 now for same money you get a 7000MB/S SSD and you can get 1TB SSSD for 200 eurors at 4000MB/S speed or more. Go and get one.

I guess your still using a CRT monitor because those LCD screens are still in ripoff phase. Still using IDE for your HDD, god knows motherboards with SATA are sure in rip off stage. Im guessing you still use a flip phone because damn have you seen the price of a smartphone with it solid state memory, when will the ripoff stage stop. Are you still using a CD burner to copy files or a 3.5" floppy because those pesky USBs are rip off artists.
